Bitcoin clears $72,000 as ETF demand returns and short sellers capitulate
Bitcoin pushed above $72,000 after U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs posted their strongest daily inflows in months, helping confirm a sharp breakout from a six-week trading range. The move also triggered roughly $3 billion in short liquidations across crypto markets, turning a macro relief rally into a squeeze-driven surge.

Fed minutes show many officials still prepared to raise rates
Minutes from the Fed’s July meeting showed many policymakers think higher rates may still be needed if inflation does not keep cooling. That keeps a hawkish policy tail risk alive for bitcoin and other risk assets even after this week’s crypto rally.

Treasury buyback expansion risks complicating Fed inflation fight as yields gyrate
A Reuters analysis said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s decision to double long-dated buybacks may clash with the Fed’s effort to keep financial conditions tight enough to restore price stability. The tension matters for bitcoin because easier long-end liquidity can support risk assets even as the Fed stays wary of inflation.

Trump points to CFTC pathway for bringing Hyperliquid into U.S. markets
At a White House event, President Donald Trump said CFTC Chair Mike Selig is working on a compliant route for Hyperliquid to operate in the United States. The comments signal growing regulatory interest in onshoring perpetual futures activity that has largely stayed offshore, a potentially important shift for crypto market structure.

Is a +11.5% Bitcoin rally during a bear market normal?

Unfortunately, yes.

• April 2018: +17% rally, followed by another -60% into the bottom.

• February 2022: +10.5% rally, followed by another -63% into the bottom.

• June to July 2022: +40% rally, followed by another -37% into the bottom.

With all due respect, Bloomberg. No.
Bitcoin is surging because the Treasury has signaled it will do whatever it takes to keep long end yields from flying up, up and away. https://t.co/qVRwcwdDT5

🚨 WARNING: SOMETHING EXTREMELY BAD IS HAPPENING!!

Odds of the CLARITY Act passing this year just CRASHED:

90% → 23%

Last time this happened, Bitcoin crashed:

$97K → $61K (-38%)

Now the SEC is already preparing its OWN crypto rules while Congress still can’t get the bill passed.

That tells you everything.

Trump can keep trying to pump crypto with bullish words.

But that does NOT change the situation.

I don’t expect the CLARITY Act to pass this year.

And if $BTC pumps again on Trump headlines, I’m calling it a BULL TRAP.

I don’t think the real dump has even started yet.

You were warned.

Follow and turn notifications on.

When I start buying Bitcoin again, I’ll post it here publicly.

President Trump just said the US has discussed plans to buy "sizable" amounts of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

He went on to say, after today's White House crypto meeting, that "we're going to ensure America remains the undisputed leader, not only in Bitcoin and crypto, but also technologies like prediction markets and artificial intelligence."
