Bitcoin holds above $80,000 as ETF demand reinforces macro-driven rebound
|
|
Bitcoin briefly touched $81,000 and is still holding above the $80,000 level, extending last week’s rebound. The Block said analysts are tying the move to renewed spot ETF demand and easier financial conditions after Treasury buyback changes, while still warning that sticky inflation, elevated long yields and geopolitical risk could limit follow-through.

Crypto exchange volumes double in five days as ETF-era activity rebounds
|
|
The Block said crypto exchange volume has doubled in five days, rebounding to roughly $37 billion a day from the year’s lows. The move suggests risk appetite is returning, even as ETFs, digital-asset treasuries and onchain venues keep changing where Bitcoin demand shows up.

Unlocking $2.1 Trillion in Energy Potential
One company has developed a technology that extracts valuable resources from coal without burning it. From jet fuel to diesel and more, Frontieras North America has the potential to address $2.1 trillion in annual markets*.
It’s similar to when John D. Rockefeller commercialized oil refining technology. If Frontieras captures just 2% of the global coal market, they would position themselves as the global leader in the space.
They just broke ground for their $850 million flagship facility and reserved the ‘FASF’ NASDAQ ticker. Don’t miss your chance to join the next phase of growth: invest in Frontieras before the opportunity ends on August 27.
Frontieras is offering securities through the use of an Offering Statement that has been qualified by the Securities and Exchange Commission under Tier II of Regulation A. A copy of the Final Offering Circular that forms a part of the Offering Statement may be obtained from: invest.frontieras.com. Reservation of the ticker symbol is not a guarantee that we will be listed on the NASDAQ. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals. Sources* The global market for our products is worth a combined value of over $2.1 trillion.
Bitcoin is running the same trap that fooled bulls in 2018 and 2022.
In 2018, BTC rallied 47.7% from $5,750 to $8,492. Roughly $180 million of BitMEX shorts were liquidated in one squeeze. Bitcoin then collapsed 62.8% to the cycle low.
In 2022, BTC rallied 43.1% from $17,622 to $25,211. Nearly $1 billion of crypto shorts were liquidated during the July squeeze. Bitcoin then fell 38.6% and printed another low.
2026: Bitcoin has rallied 38.4% from $57,800 to $79,700 while more than $4 billion in short positions have been liquidated.
Both previous rallies made bears look stupid immediately and bulls look stupid eventually.

This is seriously insane.
This morning $BTC pumped from $75,500 to $81,200 liquidating $793M in 24 hours!
Now, $BTC has $2B liquidity above at $81,000 - $83,000.
However, $73,000 - $78,500 has $4.9B liquidation clusters stacked up, making this the 'high probability' zone to visit next on the HTF from a liquidity perspective.
Bears just got absolutely 'rekt' again.

Crypto’s rally is now at Warsh’s mercy.
Bitcoin enters Jackson Hole week near $80K after surging 28% in August.
Crypto GREED has climbed to 74/100, its highest level in nearly 11 months.
The rally began when Treasury bond buybacks pushed yields and the dollar lower.
Over $4B in crypto shorts were then liquidated, accelerating the surge.
Reports that Treasury could tap its nearly $1T cash account added to the liquidity excitement.
PCE inflation and GDP arrive Wednesday, providing the rally’s first major test.
The main event comes Friday when Fed Chair Kevin Warsh delivers his first Jackson Hole keynote.
A dovish message could unleash euphoria, while a hawkish surprise could turn greed back into fear.
Billions now depend on Warsh.

🚨 THE SMARTEST MONEY IN CRYPTO JUST WENT SHORT.
Wintermute is sitting on $190,800,000 in shorts across $ETH, $BTC, $SOL, $HYPE and $XRP.
They're down $5.85M right now.
They're up $203,600,000 all-time.
Do they know something ? https://t.co/o8F6x8gGej

🚨 BITCOIN'S 4-YEAR CYCLE JUST BROKE?
Bull: 1,066 days → Bear: 365 days Bull: 1,065 days → Bear: 365 days Bull: 1,065 days → Bear: 273 days?
Both previous bears lasted exactly one year.
This one would be 3 months short. https://t.co/gDClcknwzl

Bessent’s plan to use the TGA to fund Treasury buybacks makes possible exactly what I warned would happen. This reckless plan will substantially shorten the average maturity of the national debt, increasing our exposure to rising short-term rates and making it even harder for the Fed to hike rates without exploding federal interest expense and budget deficits. It’s a recipe for massive QE and runaway inflation. Got gold?
