Warsh signals Fed may need rate hikes if inflation fails to cool
|
|
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said inflation remains too high and suggested rates may need to rise if underlying price pressures do not move clearly back toward 2%. A firmer hiking bias lifts yields and the dollar, tightening liquidity for bitcoin and other risk assets.

Trump shifts Iran strategy toward sanctions as the war hits six months
|
|
Six months into the U.S.-Israel war against Iran, President Trump said he is in no hurry to end the conflict and the administration is leaning harder on sanctions and economic pressure. Prolonged Middle East uncertainty keeps oil, shipping routes and inflation risks in focus, a backdrop that can spill into bitcoin through broader macro volatility.

πΊπΈ Kevin Warsh just delivered his first ever Jackson Hole speech as Fed Chair, and the tone was hawkish
1. Inflation data doesn't show meaningful improvement, 2% target remains firm and fixed
2. Fed has more work to do unless underlying inflation moves toward target with speed
3. Economy remains strong, with healthy spending, stable jobs, and low unemployment
4. Business investment growing at its fastest pace since 2021, nearly half tied to AI buildout
5. Questioned how long AI productivity gains will take to show up, prefers a "quieter" Fed
6. On monetarism, said money still matters and the Fed should watch money created by the central bank and the banking system

Bitcoin is facing the most important resistance of this cycle.
The 50-week moving average sits at $81,000, the line that has separated bull markets from bear markets throughout Bitcoin's history.
Bitcoin dropped 54% this cycle, less than the 2018 and 2022 crashes, but the trend hasn't flipped yet.
MACD, RSI, and Stoch RSI have all turned positive, which is an early bullish sign. But the real confirmation is $81,000.
Bitcoin needs to break and hold above the 50-week MA to enter bull territory. Until then, this is still a bounce inside a bear market.
Warsh speaks at Jackson Hole today. After the last three meetings, Bitcoin went on to rally through September.

I hope the algos keep selling gold and bitcoin on this line of BS. I will keep adding. Empty suit speaking empty words. Fiscal dominance is real. Warsh is a paper tiger. By end of next week, BTC will be over $80k. https://t.co/9jgAayFf2m
