US air campaign pushes deeper into Iran, renewing Strait of Hormuz risk
The AP reported that Washington widened its air campaign inside Iran, striking bridges, communications towers and other infrastructure after renewed fighting around the Strait of Hormuz shattered June’s ceasefire. The escalation keeps a major energy chokepoint at the center of markets and preserves the geopolitical risk premium that has recently weighed on Bitcoin through oil and inflation expectations.

Clarity Act passage odds fall as Senate clock turns against crypto bill
Galaxy Research cut its estimate for Clarity Act passage in 2026 to 30%, arguing the Senate is running out of days to move the bill before the August recess. A further delay would push out long-awaited U.S. market-structure rules for digital assets and leave one of crypto’s biggest regulatory catalysts unresolved.

Bitcoin steadies near $65,000 while Magnificent Seven shed $800 billion
CoinDesk reported that Bitcoin held near $65,000 even as the Magnificent Seven lost about $800 billion in market value, a rare session of relative independence from the AI trade. If that resilience persists, it could mark the start of a looser correlation between Bitcoin and the tech-led risk cycle that has dominated recent price action.

Bitcoin ETF trading volume sinks to lowest full week since October 2024
The Block said U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs logged their weakest full-week trading volume since October 2024, while net inflows for the week were nearly erased by heavy withdrawals in the final two sessions. Ether funds again outdrew bitcoin products, a sign that BTC demand from traditional wrappers remains subdued.

Strategy rewrites bitcoin yardsticks to reflect debt and preferred stock claims
CoinDesk reported that Strategy replaced its gross BTC-centric reporting with new net reserve and net asset metrics that subtract convertible debt and preferred stock claims. The change gives common shareholders a clearer view of effective bitcoin exposure and highlights how bear-market financing structures are reshaping the corporate treasury trade.

India moves against Jack Dorsey’s bitcoin-linked mesh app during Delhi protests
CoinDesk reported that India’s cybercrime agency ordered GitHub to take down repositories for Bitchat as Delhi protesters used mesh-network tools to bypass repeated internet shutdowns. Because the app can relay bitcoin transactions offline, the move is a live test of how Bitcoin-adjacent censorship-resistant tools fare under direct state pressure.

Bitcoin is now $64,000.

Down 48.7% from ATH.

It is $779 above the 200-week moving average.

It is $1,636 above being cut in half from ATH.

It is $4,827 above the historically brutal, historically glorious, βˆ’50% year-over-year print.

I ran every monthly Bitcoin close since 2010:

30%+ below ATH: median next 12 months +124.8%

50%+ below ATH: median next 12 months +128.0%, green 87.4% of the time

Below the 200-week MA: green 12 months later in 12 of 12 historical monthly entries

Down 50%+ year over year: median next 12 months +106.9%, green 94.4% of the time

This year has been a generational stacking opportunity. I thank the lettuce hands for their service and kind donations. We should savor this as long as we can because the clock is ticking and the correction will be VIOLENT.

DON'T LOSE FOCUS AS TO WHAT COMES NEXT:
