Fed holds rates steady as three officials dissent in favor of hiking
The Federal Reserve left its target range unchanged at 3.50% to 3.75% on July 29, but the decision came with three dissents from officials who wanted a quarter-point increase. For Bitcoin, the bigger signal was the hawkish split itself: policy is not easing, and the bar for a liquidity-friendly pivot still looks high.

June PCE cools month on month but stays well above target
The Fed’s preferred inflation gauge fell 0.1% month over month in June, while core PCE rose 0.1%. But on a year-over-year basis, headline PCE still ran at 3.7% and core at 3.3%, keeping inflation materially above the Fed’s 2% goal just a day after the split FOMC hold.

U.S. second-quarter growth slows to 1.5% as price pressures stay elevated
Advance GDP for the second quarter came in at a 1.5% annualized pace, down from 2.1% in the first quarter. The softer growth print was paired with a 5.7% increase in the gross domestic purchases price index and 5.1% annualized PCE inflation in the quarter, reinforcing the stagflationary mix that matters for Bitcoin’s macro backdrop.

Bitcoin ETFs return to net inflows after Fed-driven market volatility
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted a net $32.1 million inflow on July 29, reversing the prior session’s $49.7 million outflow. BlackRock’s IBIT brought in $89.8 million, more than offsetting redemptions from Fidelity’s FBTC and Ark’s ARKB, suggesting institutional demand remains selective rather than broadly risk-on.

Panic is a financial news strategy. Clarity is ours.

Markets move. Headlines catastrophise. But somewhere inside the noise is the story that matters — the opportunity, not the fear.

The Daily Upside was built by Wall Street insiders to find it — global business and finance, reported without the alarm.

YES, THIS BITCOIN BOUNCE LOOKS REAL. SO DID THE LAST TWO.

February: range, then a rally to $97K that trapped buyers, then a flush to $60K.

June: range, then a rally to $83K, then a flush again.

Both traps looked like the trend had turned. Both ended lower.

Price is at $63,576, sitting at the top of the third range. One more trap and one more flush into the $60K test.

Reclaim $68K on a weekly close and the sequence is broken.

Two traps, two lower lows. I'll believe the third one when it holds.
