U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs bleed $223 million as BlackRock leads outflows
U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded a net $222.6 million outflow on June 30, according to Farside data. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for $212.4 million of the withdrawals and Fidelity’s FBTC lost another $10.2 million, extending a late-June run of redemptions that keeps institutional demand under pressure.

SEC opens broad review of crypto and prediction market ETF rules
The SEC said it wants public input on how to regulate novel ETFs, explicitly sweeping in crypto-linked and prediction-market products. The review could alter registration, disclosure and listing mechanics just as issuers are racing to launch a broader wave of digital-asset funds.

Citi slashes bitcoin target and zeros ETF inflow assumptions for 2027
Citigroup cut its 12-month bitcoin target to $82,000 from $112,000 and reduced its ether forecast to $2,240 from $3,175. The bank also cut its expected net ETF inflows to zero from $10 billion, underscoring how badly institutional demand assumptions have deteriorated.
