Trump reverses Russia energy policy with emergency diesel deal before midterms
|
|
Trump said the U.S. will immediately import more than 300,000 tons of Russian diesel, followed by additional volumes in November and after. The move is a sharp reversal of Washington's previous energy pressure on Moscow and matters for Bitcoin because it feeds directly into oil, inflation, and rate expectations.

Canada sheds 68,300 jobs as unemployment rises, deepening North American rate debate
|
|
Statistics Canada said employment fell by 68,000 in September and the unemployment rate rose to 6.5%, while labor-force participation slipped to 64.8%, its lowest since December 1997 outside the pandemic. A softer Canadian labor backdrop could reinforce global growth concerns and shift North American policy expectations at the margin.

How Jennifer Aniston’s LolaVie brand grew sales 40% with CTV ads
For its first CTV campaign, Jennifer Aniston’s DTC haircare brand LolaVie had a few non-negotiables. The campaign had to be simple. It had to demonstrate measurable impact. And it had to be full-funnel.
LolaVie used Roku Ads Manager to test and optimize creatives — reaching millions of potential customers at all stages of their purchase journeys. Roku Ads Manager helped the brand convey LolaVie’s playful voice while helping drive omnichannel sales across both ecommerce and retail touchpoints.
The campaign included an Action Ad overlay that let viewers shop directly from their TVs by clicking OK on their Roku remote. This guided them to the website to buy LolaVie products.
Discover how Roku Ads Manager helped LolaVie drive big sales and customer growth with self-serve TV ads.
The DTC beauty category is crowded. To break through, Jennifer Aniston’s brand LolaVie, worked with Roku Ads Manager to easily set up, test, and optimize CTV ad creatives. The campaign helped drive a big lift in sales and customer growth, helping LolaVie break through in the crowded beauty category.
Ledger is investigating reports of loss of funds from users in South East Asia who purchased products from a reseller named CryptoBillis. As a precaution, and pending the results of our investigation, we have asked CryptoBilis to pause all sales and shipments of Ledger devices. We recommend Ledger users who purchased from this reseller in the last 90 days to not initiate set up if you have not done so yet. If you have set up your Ledger device, consider moving assets to a new Ledger signer (with new seed). We will continue to inform customers of updates as the investigation progresses.

oh my god this is worse than we thought
here's @Ledger $86M exploits explained
> cryptobilis was a reputable and authorized Ledger/Trezor/OneKey dealer for over 4 years
> they decided to sell the company to a Chinese guy (most likely patsy for DPRK) from northern China in MARCH 2026
> the "Chinese guy" modded the devices within the supply chain itself (physical), namely Nano X devices, to contain an implant module
> ledger validity/genuineness check CANNOT detect this because hw wasn't actually tampered with, just spied on
> quoting @MagicalTux:
" implant just monitors what's shown on the screen, will take note of the seed as it's shown to you, then transmits it to 3rd party"
> former owner chimes in on X (pic below) to say that "they were under a NDA" to not mention anything to anyone for 6 months
> they obviously didn't alert any of their partners that they were authorized to sell devices of... because NDA, duh!! its in the name!
> conveniently, funds start getting siphoned a few weeks before this magical NDA due date, and being laundered across all blockchains

lost $5M today.
and the worst part is that i did everything “right.”
no leverage. no memecoin. no gambling.
i kept my funds on a hardware wallet, exactly like we’re all told to. today @Ledger confirmed they’re investigating reports of lost funds.
i checked my balance three times before i believed it.
some of you remember my $20M gambling loss. that one hurt, but i could look in the mirror and say i chose it.
this time i chose safety. and it still wasn’t enough.
i’ve been sitting here for hours. i haven’t eaten. i haven’t opened a single chart. i don’t even know what i’m feeling yet.
what i do know is this: if you use a ledger, check their official channels and make sure your assets are safe before you do anything else.
idk what comes next. but i’m not done.

FTX’s collapse is now on Netflix.
Netflix just released the trailer for "The Altruists," a limited series about Sam Bankman-Fried.
The story follows SBF and Caroline Ellison's love story, the rise and fall of FTX, and the $8 BILLION fraud.

I may be bullish, but I’m not oblivious to the current LTF market structure.
$BTC is now coming back into the previous May range high, an area it broke back below. If this isn’t simply deviation above the highs, followed by acceptance back into the range and a move lower, then we need to see a reclaim fairly quickly.
Ideally, BTC pushes back above the 84-85K region, then retests and respects the previous range lows around 82.8K. If that happens, the structure is back in place for us to trend higher.
On the other hand, if we cannot break this barrier... then we can push to 76-78K.
Relatively straightforward.
