Bitcoin steadies near $83,000 as CPI and higher yields cap risk appetite
Bitcoin traded just above $83,000 on October 12 as a firmer dollar, rising Treasury yields and higher oil prices kept risk appetite in check. Markets are now focused on the U.S. CPI report due October 14, with hotter inflation seen as the clearest near-term threat to a more hawkish Fed path and tighter financial conditions for crypto.

Brent tops $105 as Russian diesel deal deepens wartime inflation anxiety
Brent crude rose above $105 a barrel after President Donald Trump said the U.S. would buy Russian diesel, adding a fresh twist to an already volatile war-driven energy market. For Bitcoin, the significance is macro: higher fuel costs and renewed geopolitical stress raise the odds of stickier inflation and tighter policy expectations.

South Korean bank opens first bitcoin-backed corporate lending channel under existing rules
Jeonbuk Bank has launched South Korea’s first bank-issued won loans linked to Bitcoin collateral, initially for corporate operating funds only. The structure keeps custody with a specialist provider rather than the bank itself, making the launch a notable test case for folding Bitcoin collateral into traditional lending under current rules.

SWI raises €800 million to speed former miner infrastructure conversion into AI
SWI Group raised €800 million from institutional investors to expand its transatlantic AI infrastructure and compute platform, taking total equity raised since March above €1 billion. The funding adds to the growing evidence that power-rich assets once valued for bitcoin mining are increasingly being repriced around AI demand instead.

Ledger-linked reseller exploit surpasses $93 million as Tether freezes $10 million
Investigators estimate that wallets tied to Ledger devices sold by reseller CryptoBilis have lost roughly $93 million, while Tether has frozen $10 million in USDT linked to the theft. Ledger said it found an unauthorized hardware implant in at least one device, making the incident one of the most serious fresh blows to hardware-wallet trust this year.

Ok so a Ledger bought from an official European reseller contained a spy implant - complete with red wires and an antenna marked “欧亚版” (Eurasian version). It’s an older, cruder generation, yet it still made it through the official channel weeks ago…

The problem is no longer “one bad reseller in Asia.”

Attackers are producing region-specific cellular implants and getting them into legitimate distribution. Ledger’s Genuine Check still passes because the secure element itself is authentic; the implant simply watches the screen and exfiltrates the seed.

Software checks are no longer enough.

If you own a @Ledger device that is 2 years or younger, you must open it to look for spyware

With reports now coming from Europe and Latin America, it’s clear this is NOT limited to CryptoBillis

I just cracked open a Ledger purchased on their site and picked up in person at BestBuy (my recommended method of buying a hardware wallet)

This is what it looks like to have no spyware on a Ledger

In the case of the European implant, it didn’t drain the funds…either is didn’t work, or the hacker was waiting for some reason

Do NOT let “I haven’t been drained yet” be the reason you don’t check

Merci beaucoup @MagicalTux pour ta vidéo 🙏

Simple Bitcoin Strategy.

Buy Bitcoin when 50% of the supply is at a loss.

Sell or take profits when 90% of the supply is in profit.

I timed the exact Bitcoin bear market bottom using this indicator.

One of the few indicators who actually nailed it. https://t.co/3sbXueJM23
