Bitcoin drops after hot US inflation print
U.S. CPI rose 0.6% month on month and 3.7% year on year in September, hotter than markets wanted heading into the late-October Fed meeting. Bitcoin dropped after the release as traders revived concerns that another Fed hike and tighter financial conditions could return to the top of the macro agenda.

Iran shipping threats and Aramco hit keep oil risk premium elevated
Reuters reported Iranian officials are using new tactics against vessels transiting Hormuz after an attack on Saudi Aramco headquarters, while Houthis vowed further strikes on airports and oil facilities. The flare-up keeps an energy and shipping risk premium in markets, reinforcing the oil-driven inflation channel that has recently weighed on bitcoin and other risk assets.

Strive pursues $500 million raise after another large bitcoin purchase
Strive is launching a new perpetual preferred share sale aimed at raising $500 million, with part of the proceeds earmarked for more bitcoin purchases. The company also said it had just acquired 3,311 BTC, bringing its treasury to 32,773 coins and extending the corporate-bid story in a softer market.

Standard Chartered brings direct bitcoin trading to wealthy clients in UAE
Standard Chartered said eligible wealthy clients in the UAE can now buy and sell bitcoin and ether directly from their bank accounts. The bank will handle custody and settlement internally under Dubai licensing, broadening regulated access to BTC through a major global lender.

Coinbase urges bitcoin developers to start quantum migration planning now
Coinbase said Bitcoin should start preparing now for a future quantum-computing threat rather than wait for an emergency. The exchange, which says it safeguards about 5% of all bitcoin for clients, wants flexible post-quantum signatures and a separate debate over how to treat dormant coins.

🚨JUST OUT: U.S. CPI comes in HOTTER than expected, with both headline and core inflation beating forecasts.

Headline CPI YoY: 3.7% vs. 3.6% expected and 3.4% prior

Core CPI YoY: 2.6% vs. 2.5% expected and 2.4% prior

Both headline and core inflation accelerated from last month, signaling renewed price pressures.

The hotter-than-expected readings could reinforce expectations of a Fed RATE HIKE.

we might now know how the attackers found the UK guy who got robbed for $800K at knifepoint this morning

he confirmed he banks with revolut

revolut had a data breach a few months ago. hackers used a fake government email to trick revolut into handing over customer data

names, home addresses, phone numbers, passport photos and full crypto transaction history

so if you’re a criminal and you have that data you know exactly who holds crypto, how much they have, and where they live

you don’t need to hack anything. you just show up at their door

someone on CT connected the dots today and honestly it makes too much sense

the attackers didn’t randomly pick a house. they knew who he was. they knew what he had. they knew where to find him

all from a data breach that happened months ago. that everyone forgot about because revolut said “your funds are safe”

your funds were safe bro. your home address wasn’t

and this is probably not the last time someone’s front door gets kicked in because a company leaked their data

data breaches aren’t just about losing passwords. sometimes the cost shows up at your house with a knife

Following recent supply-chain incidents, we decided to reduce the number of resellers so we can more effectively check those we work with.

Let us be very clear: there is not a single piece of evidence that Trezor devices have been compromised.

This is a preventive step, taken out of an abundance of caution. We also want to thank everyone involved for the cooperation, and for the years of work putting Trezor in people’s hands.

A CRM so smart, it updates itself.

HubSpot's CRM is so smart, it now updates itself. Calls get logged and summarized the moment they end. New leads get researched and a first outreach drafted, automatically. Deals move forward on their own, with next steps flagged before you have to ask.

Even the one repetitive task you've been meaning to fix can now run itself, no code required. Customers using it are already seeing the difference.

This isn't the CRM you have to work hard to figure out. It's the one already working before you log in.
