MSCI rule overhaul threatens Strategy’s index status and passive-fund demand
MSCI finalized a new non-operating company methodology that could exclude Strategy, Metaplanet and similar crypto treasury firms from its indexes in the November review. Any removal could trigger passive fund selling and further separate treasury-equity exposure from spot bitcoin ownership.

Thailand’s crypto ETF framework takes effect, opening local bitcoin fund pathway
Thailand’s new crypto ETF rules took effect Friday, allowing locally listed passive funds tied to bitcoin or ether under a formal domestic framework. CoinShares expects initial inflows to be modest, but the move still expands regulated exchange access in a major Southeast Asian market.

Judge keeps Gemini’s bitcoin-futures settlement intact despite CFTC reversal bid
A federal judge rejected Gemini and the CFTC’s joint effort to vacate a 2025 consent order tied to the exchange’s bitcoin futures application. The ruling leaves in place a $5 million penalty and permanent injunction, showing that a friendlier regulatory climate does not automatically unwind older crypto cases.

Warsh keeps October guessing while doubling down on inflation-fighting resolve
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said on October 16 that the central bank will not prejudge its October or December meetings, while reiterating that price stability remains the Fed’s priority. His remarks kept policy uncertainty high for bitcoin and other risk assets just as markets reassess the odds of another late-October rate hike.

US producer prices post biggest jump since 2022, reviving hawkish pressure
The U.S. producer price index rose 1.3% in September and 6.3% from a year earlier, the biggest annual increase since December 2022. The hotter wholesale inflation print strengthens the case for higher-for-longer rates, a headwind for bitcoin and broader risk appetite.

🚨 Bitcoin’s Strongest Stakeholder Signal Is Climbing Again

🐋 Bitcoin’s key stakeholder wallets keep multiplying. There are now 20,338 wallets holding 10 to 10K BTC, an all-time high after climbing sharply since mid-July despite plenty of BTC price volatility.

📈 This cohort has historically shown a close relationship with Bitcoin’s future price direction. When more large holders enter this range while price chops around, it suggests deep-pocketed investors remain confident rather than fleeing during weakness.

💪 That makes the trend encouraging for BTC bulls. Price can still move lower short term, but persistent growth among Bitcoin’s most influential wallets creates a healthier setup for future upside if accumulation continues.

bitcoin:native sellers capitulated again yesterday.

Every burst of loss selling came right at a local bottom: early August, mid-August and mid-September.

Profit taking has slowed since the September high.

If the pattern holds, yesterday's selling just above $80k would mark the floor.
