Bitcoin drops below $80,000 as U.S. evacuations rattle weekend crypto sentiment
CoinDesk reported bitcoin slipped below $80,000 to its weakest level in more than a month as U.S. Middle East evacuations deepened weekend risk aversion. The selloff was broad, with ether, XRP and solana all falling roughly 3% to 4% alongside BTC.

Leveraged longs absorb $404 million wipeout as bitcoin briefly breaks $80,000
The Block said $404 million of long liquidations hit in four hours after bitcoin briefly broke below $80,000, with total 24-hour liquidations rising above $815 million. The flush underscores how leverage is still amplifying downside when macro and geopolitical stress hits thin weekend liquidity.

Bitdeer sells remaining bitcoin inventory, signaling continued caution across listed miners
Mugglehead reported Bitdeer sold all 283.4 BTC on its books, leaving proprietary holdings at zero as of Oct. 23. The move suggests at least some listed miners are still prioritizing liquidity and operating flexibility over bitcoin treasury accumulation in a volatile tape.

U.S. cuts four Middle East embassy staffs as Iran threat warnings intensify
The State Department reduced staffing at U.S. embassies in Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates after intelligence indicated Iran had stepped up efforts to target American personnel. The move adds fresh geopolitical risk to energy markets and the broader macro backdrop that has been weighing on bitcoin and other risk assets.

Preferred-stock funding keeps treasury buyers active but tightens future bitcoin flexibility
CoinDesk reported that preferred stock issuance has financed roughly 136,000 BTC purchases by treasury companies such as Strategy and Strive, opening another institutional demand channel alongside ETFs. But growing dividend obligations and possible buybacks could eventually limit how aggressively these firms keep adding bitcoin.

🚨This week's key events are going to be BIG.

It's FED week.

The Fed HIKED last month, and on Wednesday it decides again, a day before headline PCE inflation is expected to come in at 3.6%, nearly DOUBLE its 2% target.

Then Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon, worth over $10 TRILLION combined, all report earnings within 30 hours.

Coinbase and Strategy report Thursday too, and about $11 BILLION in Bitcoin options expire Friday.

Tuesday, Oct 27
- Consumer confidence, 10am ET
- Israel's election
- Robinhood $HOOD earnings

Wednesday, Oct 28
- Fed rate decision, 2pm ET
- Fed press conference, 2:30pm ET
- Alphabet $GOOGL and Microsoft $MSFT earnings

Thursday, Oct 29
- Q3 GDP and September PCE inflation, 8:30am ET
- ECB rate decision
- Amazon $AMZN, Coinbase $COIN and Strategy $MSTR earnings

Friday, Oct 30
- Bank of Japan rate decision
- About $11 BILLION in Bitcoin options expire on Deribit, 4am ET

Markets price a 90% chance the Fed holds, per CME FedWatch.

A hotter PCE print would raise December hike odds, and a cooler one would lower them.

ELECTRUM BITCOIN WALLET CONFIRMS CRITICAL SECURITY VULNERABILITY EXPLOITED IN THE WILD

Electrum has disclosed a high-severity vulnerability allowing malicious servers to trick users into sending Bitcoin to an attacker when increasing a transaction fee.

The attack works by intercepting a broadcast transaction and replacing it in the wallet’s history with a fake transaction redirecting funds to an attacker-controlled address.

If the user attempts to increase the fee using Replace-by-Fee (RBF), Electrum can sign the malicious transaction, sending the Bitcoin to the attacker.

Electrum confirmed two reported incidents, including one user who lost funds. Attackers even generated addresses matching the last four characters of the intended recipient’s address.

The vulnerability affects versions before 4.8.3 and has been patched in the latest release.

Users are urged to update immediately and verify all destination addresses and amounts before signing transactions.

🚨 JUST IN: Hardware wallet maker Keystone says hackers got into its website and walked off with customer names, contact details, home addresses and order info.

Seed phrases and keys weren't touched, but expect a wave of fake "Keystone support" scams. https://t.co/E9StJ7UuH8

We owe you an apology.

On October 20, we detected unauthorized access to our official website. After verifying API activity with Shopify, we confirmed on October 23 that a third party obtained customer shipping information. You trusted us with those details, and we're sorry we didn't keep them safe.

Exposed: names, contact details, shipping addresses, and order details (items and prices).
Not exposed: payment card or bank details, recovery phrases, private keys, or wallet passwords.

We've blocked access, fixed the vulnerability, opened an investigation, and are emailing affected customers.

Scammers may pose as Keystone by phone, text, email, or mail, offering refunds, replacement devices, or "fixes" for your order or address. None of it is from us.

NEVER share your recovery phrase or private keys, and NEVER enter your recovery phrase into a device you didn't order. We will never ask for them. Don't click links in unexpected messages. Type https://t.co/7km8AZM288 yourself.

A detailed report is coming soon.

Until then, trust only our official channels. If anything feels off, email [email protected]. We'd rather hear from you than have you take a chance.

Again, we're truly sorry to everyone affected.

A CRM so smart, it updates itself.

HubSpot's CRM is so smart, it now updates itself. Calls get logged and summarized the moment they end. New leads get researched and a first outreach drafted, automatically. Deals move forward on their own, with next steps flagged before you have to ask.

Even the one repetitive task you've been meaning to fix can now run itself, no code required. Customers using it are already seeing the difference.

This isn't the CRM you have to work hard to figure out. It's the one already working before you log in.
