Bitcoin tops $86,000 as weak jobs data slashes October Fed hike odds
Bitcoin pushed above $86,000 after softer U.S. labor data led traders to largely price out an October Federal Reserve hike. The move improved risk sentiment, but BTC was still struggling to decisively clear the $87,000 area ahead of Wednesday’s FOMC minutes.

Strategy buys 334 Bitcoin, lifting corporate stash to a record 848,000 BTC
Strategy bought another 334 BTC for about $28.7 million, taking holdings to a record 848,000 BTC, more than 4% of Bitcoin’s eventual 21 million supply cap. The filing also flagged an estimated $20.9 billion digital-asset gain in Q3, underscoring how corporate treasury demand continues to absorb spot supply.

Dollar hits 18-month high as eurozone political stress tests Bitcoin resilience
The dollar index climbed to roughly 102.5, an 18-month high, while the euro slid to a 17-month low as French fiscal worries and Spain’s snap election rattled Europe. A stronger dollar and higher yields are usually headwinds for Bitcoin, making BTC’s hold near $86,000 a notable sign of resilience.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs log third straight inflow week as Ether turns red
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted a third consecutive week of net inflows, adding about $241 million, while spot Ether funds swung to roughly $138 million of outflows. The divergence reinforces that institutional allocation is still favoring Bitcoin over the rest of the large-cap crypto complex.

Metaplanet finishes quarter with 44,000 BTC after round-trip liquidity test
Metaplanet said it sold 10,000 BTC and repurchased 11,000 BTC in Q3, ending the quarter with 44,000 BTC and a new income strategy tied to preferred securities and other yield assets. The move shows how large treasury companies are trying to turn Bitcoin balance sheets into financing platforms rather than passive holdings.

You can't make this up.

Bitcoin has done something it hasn't done in any bear market since at least 2015.

Long-term holders stayed in PROFIT through the entire cycle, per Glassnode.

In every previous bear market since 2015, the average long-term holder ended up underwater at the bottom.

This time, their profit ratio never dropped below breakeven, and it's now climbing again.

Bitcoin Weekly Analysis

BTC closed the week at $86,517, marking its highest weekly close since January 2026 and breaking the downtrend from the 2025 high.

RSI and MACD are both turning bullish, and as long as BTC stays above the 50W MA, the trend remains positive.

Two scenarios this week:
- If it breaks above $87.4K, we could see $95K next.
- If it loses $81K on the weekly close, the next support is $77.2K (50W MA).

πŸ—žοΈ Spot Volumes Are Rising Timidly Since the July Low

In July, as bitcoin:native was printing its low, spot volumes also hit their lowest level since the previous bear market.

This marked the weakest interest in Bitcoin in nearly 3 years.

Since then, volumes have picked up slightly but are still struggling to recover decisively.

On Binance, spot volume topped $50B in September, versus $42B in July. These are the highest volumes recorded among the major exchanges.

Bybit recorded $19B versus $14B in July, and Kraken did the same with $8B versus $4B.

This modest increase came alongside the new momentum on Bitcoin.

The trend now needs to accelerate, with more spot volume and above all more demand, for Bitcoin to attempt new highs.

$BTC That is a good example of how we often see the start of new months & quarters.

Lots of volatility, choppy price action and liquidity sweeps.

Usually price starts to form some sort of direction by day 5-10 which holds for the ~2 weeks following.

In this case I think $84K (Friday low) and $87K (Friday high) are good levels to watch for a break to see where this wants to go next.
