ECB Delivers Quarter-Point Hike as Oil Shock Rekindles European Inflation Risks
The European Central Bank raised its benchmark rate by 25 basis points to 2.50% on September 10, saying higher oil prices and the Middle East conflict are keeping inflation pressure elevated. For bitcoin, the move reinforces a tighter global liquidity backdrop just as markets are reassessing how long major central banks may need to stay restrictive.

Hot U.S. Producer Price Data Revives Fed Hike Risk Before Meeting
U.S. producer prices rose 5.4% year over year in August and 0.4% month over month, a hotter print than July and another sign that energy-led inflation is proving sticky. The data lands days before the September 15-16 Fed meeting and keeps rate-hike odds alive, a clear macro headwind for bitcoin and other risk assets.

Treasury’s Larger Bond Buyback Fails to Calm Yields or Ease Conditions
The U.S. Treasury moved to buy back up to $6 billion of long-dated bonds, but the bond market still pushed yields higher, suggesting investors wanted a stronger response. That matters for bitcoin because higher long-end yields tighten financial conditions and can blunt the liquidity tailwind risk assets had started to price in.

U.S. Quantum Funding Push Sharpens Bitcoin’s Need for Post-Quantum Planning
CoinDesk reported that U.S. Commerce Department awards of up to $100 million each for Rigetti, D-Wave and Quantinuum are sharpening focus on the timeline for post-quantum cryptography in crypto. The threat is not immediate, but the funding push brings more urgency to bitcoin’s migration planning around new signature schemes and wallet security.

⚠️ALERT: Trezor warns hackers have breached its email provider and are sending phishing emails from its legitimate domain.

The fake email claims a "Critical Security Alert: STM32 Entropy Vulnerability" that could expose your recovery phrase.

Trezor confirms it is NOT real and has taken the domain down.

This is Trezor's THIRD vendor breach in four weeks, after its support portal exposed 66,000 users and shipping partner ShipMonk leaked over 80,000 customers' home addresses.
