U.S. consumer sentiment slumps as inflation expectations jump before pivotal Fed week
The University of Michigan’s preliminary September survey showed consumer sentiment falling to 47.8 from 51.7 in August, while one-year inflation expectations jumped to 4.6%. That combination sharpens stagflation concerns ahead of next week’s Fed meeting and keeps Bitcoin caught between tighter-rates risk and the debasement trade.

Blockstream refuses ransom demand as Liquid restores transactions but keeps peg-outs frozen
Blockstream said it will not pay the bounty demanded for the roughly 600 BTC still missing from the Liquid exploit. Liquid transactions have resumed, but peg-outs remain disabled while the network works to restore the BTC/LBTC reserve, leaving a major Bitcoin-linked settlement network under partial constraint.

Revolut data breach exposes passports, addresses and linked bitcoin transaction histories
Revolut disclosed that a fake government request bypassed its checks and led to the release of customer passports, selfies, home addresses and full transaction histories, including bitcoin activity. No funds were lost, but the incident highlights how KYC databases can be merged with on-chain histories to identify and target Bitcoin holders.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs extend redemption streak with fourth straight daily outflow
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted a fourth straight daily outflow on September 11, with the group losing $13.2 million overall. The withdrawal was much smaller than the previous three sessions, but it still points to fragile institutional demand heading into the Fed meeting.

⚠️ ALERT: Revolut falls for a FAKE government request, exposing sensitive personal information of customers in a disturbing data breach.

Revolut disclosed that it complied with a fraudulent government request using a spoofed official email and valid credentials, exposing PII belonging to a group of customers.

The leaked data reportedly includes passports/driving licences, verification selfies, names, DOBs, occupations, home addresses, emails, phone numbers, IBANs, account statements and full transaction histories, including Bitcoin activity.

No customer funds were reportedly lost and Revolut says its systems were not hacked.

The company has notified affected users and regulators and blocked the source.

Social-engineering attacks are on the rise, with attackers increasingly exploiting human trust and weak verification processes rather than technical vulnerabilities.

⚠️ A message to anyone caught in the Revolut leak ⚠️

If you got the notification, assume your name is now on a list of people worth robbing.

I was the victim of a home invasion after being targeted through a similar leak. Take this seriously. Alarm system, reinforced entry points, panic buttons, a safe room if you can manage it, legal self-defence options where you live. All of that on top of normal wallet opsec.

Physical security is the part crypto people skip.

‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor.

The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication.

Revolut later concluded they were not authentic.

Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history.

The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators.

It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers.

ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

🚨WARNING: The Fed is poised to hike rates, and history says it almost never stops at one.

Every Fed hiking cycle since the 1990s has involved MULTIPLE increases, with the only exception being 1997.

Markets have gone from pricing FOUR rate cuts at the start of 2026 to at least THREE rate hikes through next June.

"If we get a hike next week, certainly we'll get additional ones. This is certainly not one and done," said former Fed Vice Chair Richard Clarida.

This would be the first rate hike in three years, seven weeks before the midterm elections, per WSJ.

$BTC has been in this range for almost 3 weeks now.

Either $80,000 sellers will give up, or $76,000 buyers will run out of dry power.

Looking at the upcoming events, it seems like the latter could happen. https://t.co/X2H7OFvhBk
