Bitcoin breaks $85,000 as short squeeze resets bearish positioning across crypto derivatives
Bitcoin briefly topped $85,000 for the first time since January, with more than $750 million in crypto liquidations over 24 hours and shorts accounting for most of the wipeout. The move suggests traders are re-levering into the rebound just as oil softens and broader risk sentiment improves.

U.S.-China preparatory talks put Trump-Xi summit and tariff hopes in focus
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said U.S. and Chinese officials had a successful New York meeting and floated an AI incident notification mechanism ahead of Trump’s talks with Xi. Any sign of progress on trade or broader de-escalation would support global risk appetite heading into a pivotal summit week.

Tanker strike in Strait of Hormuz revives oil-shock tail risk
An unknown projectile struck a tanker entering the Strait of Hormuz, injuring two crew members while the vessel continued to port. Even with oil easing on diplomacy hopes, fresh disruption in the chokepoint keeps the inflation and energy-risk premium that can quickly spill into bitcoin macro.

Google and Apple hiring points to deeper stablecoin infrastructure push
CoinDesk reported that Google Cloud is hiring to help financial institutions tokenize real-world assets in Asia-Pacific, while Apple is recruiting for payment-strategy roles around new financial products and partnerships. The first weekly close above the 50SMA since November 2025.

As discussed below, every single time Bitcoin has reclaimed the 50SMA, after HTF oversold conditions, it has marked the beginning of the largest price moves the asset has seen.

Every single time.

Over the 4 previous times this has happened, Bitcoin has also seen almost zero drawdown.

The biggest drawdown we've ever seen was in 2020 at 7%.

1. Cycle bottom signal confirmed
2. Bull market signal confirmed
3. Recapture of 50SMA confirmed

If you are still bearish and expecting new lows, you are extremely far behind.

It's not about being a delusional bull, it's about objectively understanding the data that is in front of you.

The 50SMA reclaim is more than a level. It's what the market says about where it is.

This level does not get reclaimed from an oversold position unless the market is fully ready to expand back towards overbought.

Dips are or buying, and its not the time to hold your bags for a bit.

From here, the process has now begun to eventually push towards the "Cycle Top" signal, of which, we have not had yet.

This is very unusual.

Bitcoin is back above $81,000 and ETH has reclaimed $2,600 while "WW3" is trending worldwide.

Russia-Ukraine just saw a massive escalation with a drone attack today.

CNN reports Trump is planning major military ops against Houthis in Yemen.

The US-Iran conflict is still ongoing.

Yet crypto is pumping.

Bitcoin is now up 51.9% against gold since the U.S-Iran war started which shows BTC is officially cementing itself as a new safe-haven asset.
