Payrolls and PCE loom after Treasury yields break above 5% threshold
With the 10-year Treasury yield back above 5% and long-dated yields near multi-decade highs, investors are heading into next week focused on U.S. payrolls and the Fedโ€™s preferred PCE inflation gauge. Strong readings would reinforce rate-hike expectations and tighten liquidity conditions that matter for Bitcoin and other risk assets.

Bitcoin steadies near $84,000 as higher yields challenge late-quarter momentum
Bitcoin held around $84,000 into the weekend as elevated Treasury yields continued to limit upside after a strong quarter. The setup suggests macro headwinds are still real, but spot demand and ETF interest are absorbing pressure instead of triggering a deeper unwind.

Riot repays Coinbase credit line and releases pledged bitcoin collateral
Riot fully prepaid its Coinbase Credit facility, ending the agreement and releasing security interests over financial assets that included bitcoin, USDC and cash. The move removes a notable encumbrance from one of the largest listed miners and restores balance-sheet flexibility.

Saylor urges digital asset rights framework instead of restrictive rulebook
Michael Saylor argued that digital assets need a bill of digital rights covering issuance, custody, transfer and use, while also calling for digital dollars to compete on yield and speed. The essay will not change policy by itself, but it shows how major Bitcoin corporates are trying to shape the next phase of U.S. crypto regulation.

Stop losing deals in between meetings.

Aligned is changing how B2B teams run their most important deals.

Most reps guess where a deal really stands. They forecast on a gut feeling and the buyerโ€™s word vs what's actually happening. Then they realize the deal slipped through only after it's too late. Aligned surfaces what buyers are actually doing inside every deal: the risks, the openings, and the exact next step to keep things moving.

Start increasing your close rates and stand up your first deal room in minutes.

๐Ÿšจ NEXT WEEK COULD COMPLETELY CHANGE THE FEDโ€™S OCTOBER RATE DECISION.

MONDAY: U.S. markets reopen with the Iran conflict and uncertainty over a possible deal still hanging over oil and inflation.

TUESDAY: August JOLTS job openings drop, giving the Fed a fresh look at whether the labor market is weakening or getting better.

WEDNESDAY: August PCE inflation and the final Q2 GDP estimate are released together.

The Fed gets fresh inflation and growth data at the same time.

THURSDAY: September ISM Manufacturing PMI drops.

August was 54.6, and a higher reading means economic activity is rising.

FRIDAY: September jobs data lands, including the unemployment rate, another major piece of the Fedโ€™s labor market picture.

Inflation, GDP, jobs, and manufacturing data will drop in the same week.

Any signs of a strong labor market and rising inflation will almost lock another 25 bps rate hike in October.

Bitcoin longs are still being closed aggressively

Look at the blue box๐Ÿ‘€

Since BTC touched $87K on September 22, traders have been closing long positions nonstop

Thatโ€™s not a one-day event anymore. Itโ€™s been happening for days๐Ÿคฏ

Iโ€™ve honestly never seen longs exit this consistently while price remains this elevated๐Ÿ˜ณ

A very interesting sentiment divergence is emerging between equities and crypto.

The S&P 500 is trading near all-time highs, yet the Stocks Fear & Greed Index is at 37, still in Fear.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin has only recovered part of its recent decline, but the Crypto Fear & Greed Index is already at 74, in Greed.

So we have almost the opposite setup:
Stocks near record highs, but investors remain cautious.
Crypto still below recent highs, but investors are already showing strong optimism.

Price and sentiment do not always move together.
And when the divergence becomes this wide, it is worth paying attention.

Which market is mispricing risk right now?
