Waller says hot August inflation could still force a September Fed hike
In a September 3 speech, Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he would support holding rates if August inflation shows continued progress, but would consider a hike if the data comes in hot. That keeps the September 15-16 FOMC meeting highly data-dependent and preserves upside risk for yields and the dollar, a tough backdrop for Bitcoin.

ADP reports August hiring slowed sharply even as wage growth stayed firm
ADP said private employers added 38,000 jobs in August, the slowest pace since January, while July was revised up slightly to 46,000. The report points to softer hiring ahead of Friday’s payrolls, even as pay growth remained firm enough to complicate the Fed’s inflation fight.

Bitcoin ETFs reverse course with $101 million inflow led by BlackRock
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted a combined $101.1 million net inflow on September 2, reversing the prior session’s $236.5 million outflow. BlackRock’s IBIT led creations with $115.4 million, while GBTC lost $56.2 million, showing institutional demand is still uneven but not broken.

Bitcoin rebounds above $77,500 as Fed hike odds ease before payrolls
Bitcoin traded back above $77,500 on September 3 after buyers defended the roughly $76,350 average cost basis of active investors, according to CoinDesk’s report citing Bitfinex analysts. The rebound came as September hike odds eased ahead of Friday’s U.S. payrolls, keeping macro expectations firmly in control of near-term BTC direction.

Jobless claims edge up but remain low ahead of Friday payrolls
New U.S. jobless claims rose to 206,000 last week from a revised 204,000, but layoffs remain historically low. The print keeps the labor market from signaling a clear downturn one day before the August payrolls report, limiting relief for rate-sensitive assets.

bitcoin:native long-term holders are still selling.

They’ve reduced their supply for 3 straight days, which means older holders are still taking coins off the table.

Long-term holders selling into strength usually adds pressure.

If this selling keeps going, BTC could face more pressure from here.

bitcoin:native is having a bearish retest here.

Spot demand is weak, as Coinbase Premium has flipped negative.

I think this is the level from where Bitcoin will get rejected.

This pattern will invalidate if BTC manages a 4H close above $78,500. https://t.co/26771Xqjjb
